Our business supporters

We are very grateful for the recent interest and financial support received from the business community.

Several companies have made donations in the run up to Christmas and we count ourselves most fortunate to be selected by one of the leading independent recruitment consultants, Witan Jardine, to benefit from their regular fundraising events during 2008. We naturally thank them as well as Silverfleet Capital (a leading European private equity firm) - www.silverfleetcapital.com who will also be giving fundraising support throughout 2008 and Alpha Development Partnership Limited (providers of financial training) for their valued generosity.

If you know of any companies who might also support our work with helping those vulnerable elderly people in the UK who find themselves in financial distress please pass our name on to them or email us at info@aftaid.org.uk with details of who we should contact and why you think they may help us in particular. Thank you.

What our business supporters say...

We believe that Witan Jardine should contribute positively to the community in which we operate and engage with charitable and community programmes in a number of ways.

We support local charities, donate gifts for fundraising and encourage our staff to be involved in regular team events. We have 'Charity Days' at work and encourage staff to participate in:

* London to Brighton cycle ride
* JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge
* Jeans for Genes
* City Sevens Rugby

This year we are supporting Aid for the Aged in Distress. Throughout the year we will raise vital financial support for them, through various charity events.

Our employees are encouraged to support the wider community and to give time and money to charitable causes. Such involvement is not only of benefit to the community, but also a valuable means of increasing employee awareness and assisting in their development.

Currently our charitable giving policy is focused on AFTAID. As a team we took the decision to allocate our time and resources to a charity within which we could make a truly constructive difference.
